When going on a mission trip it can be easy to forget some of the most essential items in the midst of trying to not forget some of the more unusual items. The following is a list of five items needed for your next mission trip! Links are attached to each item for some of my favorite items.
When going on a mission trip one of the most crucial items you are going to need is a bible. Chances are you are going to be sharing the Gospel with the people you interact with, and using the bible through this process is important. You will also want to use the bible during the quiet time you get on the trip just to help you connect with Jesus.
This item is one that I tend to forget. I love using the journal to write about the experiences I have had that day. It is so easy to forget everything you did on a mission trip and this is a great way to recall and share with others about your time on the trip.
This item is absolutely crucial if you’re going out of the country. It is one of those items you seemingly cannot forget, but it still happens to the best of us. Do not get left behind by forgetting to bring your passport!
I always seem to forget to bring a sturdy water bottle, or I end up losing mine during the travel stage. This item is super important as many of the places you go to won’t just have water as disposable as we have it in the United States. You will need to be able to bring this item along with you throughout your trip.
This final item doesn’t quite fit in with the previously stated items, but it is crucial to have on your next trip! Each trip I have gone on, wipes have come in handy for a number of reasons. When you’re sweating a bunch you have the ability to cleanse yourself with the wipes, you can use them before your eat, and you can even use them to give to others you interact with on the trip. Wipes are portable and can be kept in your backpack and are a must-have item to bring!
